Joseph Humphries

I am an MD/PhD student on a differed HPSP scholarship. My undergraduate education was at the United States Air Force Academy where I had the opportunity to study Biochemistry. While there I spent my free time playing in the mountains. Here in North Carolina I spend my free time fishing, running and avoiding COVID. I am interested in the pursuit of the understanding and description of nature which I believe will offer new ways to solve old problems. I see the continued development of conceptual and computational tools in neuroscience as a key development in this process which will one day lead to improvements in the psychological dimension of health care and an improved understanding of ourselves.
